15 House-Klassiker, die wir immer wieder gerne hören

House Music.

Joe Smooth “Promised Land” (DJ International) 1987
“Sisters, brothers, we make it to the promised land.” Gänsehaut!

“Brothers, sisters
One day we will be free
From fighting, violence
People crying in the street

When the angels from above
Fall down and spread their wings like doves
And we’ll walk hand in hand
Sisters, brothers, we’ll make it to the Promised Land

You and I
We’ll walk the land
And as one, and as one
We’ll take our stand

When the angels from above
Fall down and spread their wings like doves
And we’ll walk hand in hand
Sisters, brothers, we’ll make it to the Promised Land

When the angels from above
Fall down and spread their wings like doves
And we’ll walk hand in hand
Sisters, brothers, we’ll make it to the Promised Land”

Fingers Inc. “Can You Feel It” (Jack Trax) 1988
Zeitlos! Kunst! Ein Meisterwerk. Die Vocals stammen im Übrigen von Chuck Roberts.

“In the beginning there was Jack, and Jack had a groove
And from this groove came the grooves of all grooves
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box
Jack boldly declared: “Let there be House” and House music was born
I am you see, I am the creator and this is my house
And in my house there is only House music
But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house
It then becomes our house and our House music
And you see, no one man owns house
Because House music is a universal language
Spoken and understood by all
You see, House is a feeling that no one can understand, really
Unless you’re deep into the vibe of House
House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body
And as I told you before, this is our house and our House music
(Can you feel it?)
And every house, you understand there is a keeper
And in this house, the keeper is Jack
Now some of you might wonder: “who is Jack?”
“What is it that Jack does?”
Jack is the one who gives you the power to jack your body
Jack is the one who gives you the power to do the snake
Jack is the one who gives you the key to the wiggly worm
Jack is the one who learns you how to rock your body
Jack is the one that can bring nations and nations of all Jackers together, under one house
You may be black, you may be white, you may be Jew or Gentile
It don’t make a difference in our house
And this is fresh”

Frankie Knuckles Presents Satoshi Tomiie “Tears” (ffrr) 1989

“Look at me baby
I’m crying
Tears so many
Tears
So so many tears (repeat 8 times)

I am real good actor
This is a heavy road
Our love’s a script and you carry total control
Like a clown and I’ve been smiling
Whenever people are all around
But when the curtain comes down and the circus is through
No one is left but me and you and all my tears
So many tears my tears

One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
Tears

Regretting nothing but the pain
My heart my life my world is filled with rain
I’m drowning when the curtain comes down and the circus is through
No one is left but me you and all my tears

One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away so many
One word could take their place so many
One word could wash them away so many
One word could take their place so many
Tears
So many tears, tears one word could wash them away

Baby I just want to step back and look at my eyes
I’ve been crying girl cant you see
Oh girl
That dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping and dropping and dripping and
dripping and dropping,.

One word could wash them away
One word could take their place (all over me)
One word could wash them away (tears)
One word could take their place so many
One word could wash them away so many
One word could take their place so many tears
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place (teeeaaarrrsssss)
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place

You gotta come off that stage baby
Come on home and rescues me
I want you to sing for me girl
I want you to dance for me baby
Move that body for me
Come on baby
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place
One word could wash them away
One word could take their place”

DJ Tonka “Feel” (Force Inc US) 1995

“Don’t you wanna go to the disco?” Zeitlos! “Damn, that shit is funky!”

Daft Punk “Da Funk” (Soma) 1995

Armand van Helden “The Funk Phenomena” (Henry Street Music) 1996
“Witch Doctor”, “Break Night”, “Egyptian Magician”, “You Don’t Know Me”, “Flowerz”, “I Want Your Soul”, “Bonkerz” – die Liste der Hits von Armand Van Helden ist lang.

Blaze “Lovelee Dae” (Classic) 1997

Nalin & Kane “Beachball” (Superfly) 1997
“Are you ready to fly?”

Pete Heller “Big Love” (Junior London) 1998
Das eingängige Sample stammt von Stargards Song “Wear It Out”.

Moloko “Sing It Back” (Echo) 1998

Stardust “Music Sounds Better With You” (Roulé 305) 1998

Tom Novy & Virgina “I Rock” (Kosmo) 1999
Einige bevorzugen “Now Or Never”, andere “Your Body”, wir haben uns für das großartige “I Rock” entschieden.

Junior Jack “My Feeling” (Noise Traxx) 1999

Spiller “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)” (Positiva) 2000

Mambana “Libre” (Casa Rosso) 2003
