Fabric kündigt Compilation mit 111 Tracks an

Fabric kündigt eine monumentale, 111-Tracks starke Compilation namens „#savefabric“ an. Mit dabei sind u.a. Tracks von Mathew Jonson, DJ Tennis und Tiefschwarz.

Das Aus des Londoner Clubs Fabric schlug hohe Wellen. 150.000 Sympathisanten unterschrieben die Petition zum Erhalt des Clubs und knapp 300.000 Britische Pfund wurden gleichzeitig gespendet. Auch der Begriff safefabric brannte sich, dank einer ausgeklügelten Kampagne, in die Köpfe so mancher Raver ein. Jetzt kündigen die Label fabric Records und Houndstooth die dazu passende Compilation an.

„#safefabric“ wird stolze 111 Tracks enthalten, die von den jeweiligen Artists für diese Veröffentlichung gespendet wurden. Vom Briefing bis zum Mastering bzw. dem finalen Produkt lagen nur drei Wochen. Entstanden ist ein Werk, bestehend aus bisher unveröffentlichten Tracks, Neuinterpretationen oder gar extra für die Compilation angefertigten Titel. Die Resonanz der dazu angefragten Künstlern war groß und so entschlossen sich die Initiatoren eine zuvor ungeahnte Bandbreite an Tracks zu veröffentlichen.

Was letztendlich mit dem Fabric passiert ist immer noch unklar. Die passende Compilation jedoch präsentiert die verschiedensten Fassetten der elektronischen Musik, die den Londoner Club geprägt haben.

„#safefabric“ erscheint am 4. November ausschließlich digital auf fabric Records.
